Edouard Reny
Music is Edouard’s guiding light
With 15 years of experience composing for media, and 30 years playing as a multi-instrumentalist in various pop-rock, blues, rock, jazz, heavy metal, folk, singer-songwriter, and electro bands, Edouard is a real music fan!
Having travelled and lived in various parts of the world, he gathered influences from numerous cultures which he now injects into his own music production.
There are 4 sides to Edouard when it comes to music : Sync Music Producer, Creative Composer, Performing Artist, Music Production Educator
SYNC Composer
Edouard composes and produces professionally for media. His sonic exigence and the diversity of his influences allow him to produce broadcast quality tracks in the genres that are popular with video producers (commercial pop, corporate, background music etc).
Creative Musician
But of course, as a creative musician, Edouard needs more. This is why he dedicates a large portion of his music time to explore sonic possibilities, break some musical rules and come up with extravagant, yet highly addictive electro pieces.
Goa-trance, Dark-Wave, Folk and World Music are is favorites. These can be quite opposite, but he enjoys experimenting by blending these styles together. This leads sometimes to interesting results!
Performing Artist
Wherever he lives at the time, Edouard always integrates into the local musical scene. Right now, in 2024, he lives in Britany, a region of France very prolific in quality musicians. He never fails an opportunity to have fun at open stages and jams (He actually organizes a regular open-stage in his own village).
Today, he is playing guitar, vocals and percussion with a friend, Isabelle, an talented accordionist . This duet, « Les Voyageurs », takes famous music pieces from all around the world (South America, Ukraine, China, Ireland, France, Italy, Poland etc…) and adapts them to their instruments. And when they play, people sing and dance with them !
Music Production Educator
In his other professional life, Edouard is an independent teacher in Science (See his physics Youtube Channel : Physics Made Easy). He puts his pedagogical skills at use by teaching music production techniques and proposes a course for beginners:
